In order to save their bankrupt and dilapidated school, the girls of St Godley’s Academy for Young Ladies decide to put on a musical version of Herman Melville’s classic novel of Captain Ahab’s search for the great white whale, Moby Dick. A highly comic, satirical romp through this age-old mariner’s tale ensues, full of witty double entendres and a wonderful variety of musical styles such as 80’s pop, 50’s doo-wop, gospel, Gilbert & Sullivan, sea shanty and opera.
